DS&DURGA MOck Campaign

Become Your Own Hero is a mock campaign I created for D.S. & Durga, centered around their fragrance Burning Barbershop. The objective was to develop a fully realized campaign for an existing product, from concept through creative execution, while staying true to the brand’s bold and nostalgic identity.

This project marked my first experience stepping into the role of creative director. I led the overall vision, concept development, and visual direction, focusing on highlighting the smoky, rebellious essence of Burning Barbershop through a more cinematic and imaginative lens.

To bring the concept to life, I took the initiative to reach out to local fire stations, including Stations 1 and 5 in Savannah, to create visuals that felt authentic and aligned with the fragrance’s fiery character. This hands-on approach allowed me to translate the narrative into a cohesive campaign world rooted in strength, individuality, and modern heroism.

Through Become Your Own Hero, I explored leadership, creative direction, and storytelling while building a campaign that feels both brand-aligned and visually distinctive.

Burning Barbershop is a fougere— a classic genre of usually men’s fragrances that use hay and vanillic notes with herbal lavender and the bitter green base of oakmoss. It is instantly recognizable on grandpas everywhere.”
